Our Story

We started Gingersnaps 30 years ago. At that time, there was a gap in the Asian market for fashionable, high quality children’s clothing.

The brand captures the delight of our childhood memories— piles of beautiful fabric — organdy, pique, lace set in an old beautiful heritage house that served as an atelier– trips to our dressmaker which opened our eyes to the delight of everyday dress up!

Back then, so much attention was put into the smallest details, most of them done by hand — from little florets made with thread, to openwork lace trims, down to the hemming of dresses.

Inspired by this sensibility, we wanted to create a line of clothing that was relevant to the current times with a nod to nostalgia. Thus, the idea of Gingersnaps was born at the intersection of modern and vintage.

Our Brand

500 people work for us in a fully functional organization with in-house teams for Design, R&D, Production and Marketing.

Physical storefronts are the foundation of the Gingersnaps brand. We have 33 mono-brand company owned stores and 9 Store-in-store concepts in the Philippines and 46 franchised stores across Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia and Saudi Arabia. We have evolved to meet the needs of mall goers in these countries, offering new drops every 45 to 60 days. We continue to evolve with a new generation of consumers, using digital marketing as we expand into Europe, the U.S., China and the rest of the world.

Our Collections

We take pride that all steps of product development are done in house. We start with a theme, then colors, fabric, prints, and silhouettes— all must speak the same language.

At the same time comfort plays a big factor when selecting fabrics, if we aim to dress kids to have fun and look great!

Gingersnaps brings its own spin on whimsical fashion, and an appreciation for traditional Filipino crafts — embroidery, smocking, patchwork and more. It is our hope to share our brand of artistry and craftsmanship with the world with every collection.
